The Provost

Pastor Professor Christopher Olubunmi Oshun, B.A. (Hons), Ibadan; M.A (Theol.),B’ham; Ph.D. (Theol.), Exeter;the Provost of Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary, Ile Ife,retired as a Professor of Christian Studies and Church History at the Lagos State University (LASU) in 2014.

During his distinguished academic cum ministerial career, he served, among others, as the pioneer University Chaplain, at Chapel of Light (Non-denominational), Lagos State University, Ojo, and the pioneer Vice Chancellor, Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), IkejiArakeji. His dexterous academic and administrative prowess have earned him prestige both in academia and ecclesia. 

He is a Grand Patron ofthe Nigerian Association for Christian Studies (NACS); a Foundation Fellow, of the Nigerian Academy of Pastoral Counsellors, (ffnapcoun); Foundation Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Church History and Missiology (ffnacham); Foundation Fellow of the Academy of Church History and Missions (ffnachams); Foundation Patron, Nigerian Academy of Church History and Missiology (fpnacham); Foundation Patron, Nigerian Association of Church History and Missions (fpnachams); he also holds Ambassador of Music Award of the Association of Nigerian Musicologists (amb. mus. anim), in conjunction with the Department of Theatre Arts & Music, Lagos State University, just to mention a few.
