Introduction
The management of Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Ile Ife (Main Campus) is deeply concerned with the welfare of learners from the entry point to their exit at convocation and as such makes provisions for an all-encompassing office that attends to these needs.The Directorate of Student Affairs of CACTS, a prestigious citadel of learning is established to ensure orientation, sensitisation, mentorship, and discipline of students across the board with a view to producing balanced ministers of the Gospel. It also serves as an intermediary between the Management of the Seminary and the students.
Student Activities
The Directorate coordinates students’ activities; the appointment, training, and coordination of student officers;issuance of exeats to students; as well as statutory meetings with student leaders. It ensures that corporate organisations and student associations, clubs, and societies conform to the approved standard of the Seminary before registration and activation of activities and programmes.
Accommodation and Hostel Management
The Directorate of Student Affairs monitors students’ welfare and social events in the halls of residence. It allocates accommodation to students and ensures proper maintenance of hostels. The Hostels are Odubanjo, CACMA, Akinyele, Provost, Babalola, Latunde, Sophia (Female), and Pearce (Female).
Counselling
The Directorate of Student Affairs provides guidance and assistance to students in distress. It deals with social, personal, emotional, academic, and other issues.The Directorate also manages community/student relationships through a number of approaches, initiatives, and organs, as well as organises orientation programmes for new students, among others. The office is open to inquiries, suggestions, complaints, and official relationships relating to student matters 24/7.
