Welcome to Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS) Bursary Unit. The Bursary in its current form is managed by seasoned professional accountants whose varied experiences include investment, public sector accounting and finance, business assurances, taxation and tax management, systems processes and reviews, financial management, and cost efficiency. The Bursary unit at CACTS is saddled with the following responsibilities:
- Supervising and controlling the Seminary’s daily financial operations.
- Maintains a record of all fees paid by students for financial services to maintain accuracy and trustworthiness.
- Manages annual spending plans.
- Prepares expense reports.
- Plans and creates a strategy to bring in money or resources for the Seminary.
- Assures prudent investment and management of surplus money.
- Delivers recurrent reports of receipts and technical data to the Seminary and outside financing organizations.
- Participates in auditing projects and interacts with internal and external auditors, providing information and access to accounting data as needed.
The Bursary unit at CACTS is headed by an Accountant who is responsible for keeping track of daily financial concerns, advising the Provost on them, and liaising with auditors and other supervising agents.
